Polytunnel 1 now completed - it is 20ft long and 10ft wide and will be our seedhouse. The next project is to build its bigger sister - Polytunnel 2 |

The weather is warming up and the early Spring flowers are popping up all over. This may be a weed to the Portuguese but it’s a beautiful flower to us |

The firebugs are finding their way around the vegetation, to our knowledge they are no threat to the produce we are growing, they simply like the coniferous trees in our woodland area |

We have had a fairly wet Winter this year, even the locals said that the amount of rain that had fallen was exceptional. When the storms hit at the end of Feb, the water soaked ground was unable to absorb anymore and as our land is terraced we had rivers appearing everywhere! |

Temp on average between 12 - 15 degrees - a mixture of rainy days and lovely sunny days - its just like being back in the UK!! The end of Feb brought downpours as you can see below. |
