“We really enjoyed our stay at the wonderful Casa 45 near Alcobaca, Portugal in Feb 2011 with our two children aged 10 and 3. Nikki & Roger could not have been better hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment we stayed in has recently been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard and everything was clean, comfortable and luxurious. There was lots to explore in the Alcobaca area and some beautiful unspoilt beaches nearby. For the more adventurous there is easy access to the main Lisbon-Oporto motorways for travelling further afield. We would have loved to stay another week. “Just wanted to say that we had an absolutely super holiday at Casa45 - it was everything we had hoped for and more and that's so great when it was our first proper family holiday. Right from the outset you and Roger were superb and welcoming. The Casa is beautiful and we had everything we wanted along with a super view. I loved drinking the wine from the vineyard we could actually see and eating your fine produce. You stuck just the right balance between being around and leaving us to our own devices and you were both brilliant with kids. Testament to that was the time Joshua asked if you were coming to the beach with us and was quite devastated when told you weren't. “Had a great stay, a lovely modern property well resourced and comfortable. Our hosts, Nikki and Roger where friendly, helpful and generous, and really made our stay such an enjoyable experience. We loved the pack of goodies from Nikki's home made chilli products, delicious! Being able to use some of the great produce from the property such as tomatoes and apples was also a bonus. “We had a lovely holiday at the Casa45 farm for four weeks from the middle of January to the middle of February 2012. Our hosts Roger and Nikki welcomed us with such warmth on arrival and went to great lengths to inform us all about their plans for the coming season. The apartment is first class, well equipped and very comfortable with plenty to keep us occupied in the evenings. Roger invited us to join him with a group of other local people on various organised walks in the area so we saw parts of the country we would not have found by ourselves. Alcobaca is a lovely town easy to park, lots to see with plenty of shops around the Cathedral. We wish you every success in your new life, it sounded like a lot of work to us.
